This gorgeous stately Oak Burl net is from an amazing chunk of a spectacularly figured burl I found in a Temecula, Ca. firewood lot. There are over 40 man hours into creating it. The small inlaid copper Kingman Turquoise & clusters you see fill natural inclusions in the burl. The burl handle has a layer of strong African Wenge laminated up its handle for added strength to be a fine piece of fly fishing equipment. I created this sophisticated net to utilize this burl I found in a field some 4 years ago, for its best and highest use. It was ordered for a retirement party by a group of co-workers. The New Owner's Initial are inlaid in Bronze just above the lanyard opening.
