This ergonomic stately Burl Maple net is from the last of a spectacularly figured board. I had the blank sitting around the studio for two years waiting to make something amazing of it. The burl passes all the way through the handle, though it is strengthened by a laminated spine of Wenge. This net was a rare "Spec Net" which was not commissioned, though it was snapped up just as I finished work on it. The Burl's natural inclusions were filled with black resin, and copper.
